The traditional teaching methods of basketball courses in universities can no longer keep up with the progress of the times. Therefore, in order to achieve sustainable development of basketball course teaching in universities, it is necessary to study the path of integrating ideological and political education into basketball course teaching in universities. Conduct a detailed analysis of ideological and political education, and further identify issues such as unclear design of teaching objectives in three aspects, insufficient teaching content in two aspects, and insufficient teaching methods in two aspects. In response to these issues, provide innovative paths to clarify teaching objective design, improve teaching content, and reform teaching methods.
