Abstract

Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation is widely used in stroke rehabilitation, and there is a large amount of clinical evidence showing its efficacy in improving functional impairments after intracranial atherosclerotic ischemic stroke, however, its molecular mechanism has not been fully elucidated. This article reviews the recent literature on the mechanism of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in intracranial atherosclerotic ischemic stroke, motor dysfunction, cognitive dysfunction, pain, swallowing, and psychological dysfunction, with a view to providing a basis for clinical treatment.

Keywords
