Disability-themed films, focusing on the lives of people with disabilities, have garnered increasing attention for their authentic and poignant depiction of these individuals' lives. These films not only enhance societal awareness and consciousness but also explore themes of equality and inclusion. As a unique film genre, disability cinema provokes thought and understanding about the daily lives and challenges faced by people with disabilities. This paper analyzes the impact of disability films on audience cognition and awareness, their role in promoting social equality and inclusion, and offers suggestions for the future development of this film genre.
