Abstract

The infusion of artificial intelligence (AI) into healthcare promises to redefine the role and training of general practitioners (GPs). This paper comprehensively reviews the current approaches and devises countermeasures for general practitioner training, considering the transformative influence of AI technologies. It evaluates the impact on diagnostics, decision-making, and the human elements of practice, and addresses ethical and legal challenges. Furthermore, it anticipates future directions for AI integration, emphasizing the need for innovative training methods and the reinforcement of human-AI collaboration in primary care.
