Abstract

This paper, entitled "Research on Jiangnan Folk Music Elements in Contemporary Ethnic Instrumental Music," aims to explore the utilization of Jiangnan folk music in contemporary ethnic instrumental music, and deeply analyze its influence on contemporary music composition and performance. Firstly, by summarizing the characteristics of Jiangnan folk music and ethnic instrumental music, it discusses the specific manifestations of Jiangnan music elements in instrumental music, including the fusion and interpretation of melody, rhythm, harmony, and other aspects. Subsequently, through the selection of representative pieces for music analysis, it reveals the rich connotations and diverse expressions of Jiangnan folk music elements in contemporary ethnic instrumental music. Furthermore, combining creation and performance practices, it explores the innovation and development trends of Jiangnan folk music elements in the contemporary ethnic instrumental field, as well as their positive significance for the inheritance and innovation of musical culture. Through this research, it aims to deepen the understanding of China's ethnic music multiculturalism and provide new ideas and references for the innovation and development of contemporary music.
