Traditional ethnic sports are important treasures in the field of world sports. They are a significant symbol of a country's sports strength and a very interesting research area. This paper explores the balance between cross-cultural communication and cultural protection of traditional ethnic sports in the context of globalization. As an important component of cultural heritage in various countries, traditional ethnic sports not only carry unique history and values, but also face challenges and opportunities brought by globalization. This paper analyzes the experiences and strategies of different countries in protecting and promoting traditional ethnic sports, and proposes strategic suggestions on how to effectively balance cross-cultural communication and cultural protection in the context of globalization.
