Abstract

Under the process of urbanization, the form of the street space in historical and cultural blocks has been damaged to a certain extent. However, the form characteristics of the street space in historical blocks not only affect people's travel safety and health, but also influence people's perception of the city's image and their understanding of culture. From the perspective of morphological typology, this article takes the street space in the Zicheng district of Suzhou as the research object, analyzes the spatial characteristics and existing problems of different types of streets in the Zicheng district, and then puts forward targeted optimization suggestions. The aim is to provide a reference for the protection and renewal development of the street spatial form in the Zicheng district of Suzhou, promote the development of the slow-moving streets in the Zicheng district, and enhance the vitality of the streets.
