Abstract

Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease caused by bacterial pathogens, characterized by inflammatory infiltration and progressive alveolar bone loss. This paper provides an overview of the mechanism, methods and treatment of model establishment and provides relevant information for future studies using the ligature-induced periodontitis model in mice.
