Epilepsy, the second most common disease in neurology after headache, has brought great trouble to people's study, life and work. Traditional Chinese medicine has unique advantages in the treatment of epilepsy, which can be prevented and treated through prescriptions, acupuncture, acupuncture thread burials and other methods, effectively reducing adverse drug reactions and reducing predisposing factors. This article reviews the existing research on the treatment of epilepsy by traditional Chinese medicine and summarizes the effective traditional Chinese medicine methods in order to propose new treatment ideas.
