Abstract

Green bonds refer to the bond instruments that use the funds obtained exclusively to fund or finance green projects that meet the prescribed conditions. As an important tool for financing the low-carbon transformation of the economy, green bonds help to reduce the financing costs of issuing companies, promote stock prices, and also help institutions to cope with market risks and improve investment returns. Under the guidance of the policy of encouraging ESG investment and curbing corporate pollution, the green bond market has received great attention. Based on literature and reports, this paper analyzes the development of green bonds in China and puts forward relevant policy recommendations.
