In the age of media convergence, TV talk show hosts are presented with new challenges and opportunities. The challenge is that the traditional TV talk show format is old-fashioned, with a single communication channel and less competitive hosts; the opportunity is that the hosts have new ideas about the selection of interview guests, the positioning of audience aesthetics and the innovation of communication methods empowered by the new media. In this context, TV talk show hosts should adhere to the principles of media, practice the Four Forces, meet the challenges, grasp the opportunities, make full use of the new media technology, and become an excellent host talent in the era of media convergence.
