Based on the case of anaphylactic shock after application of flurbiprofen exfoliate in a 60-year-old patient undergoing lumbar internal fixation, the literature was analyzed and summarized to discuss the pharmacological characteristics of flurbiprofen exfoliate, the clinical manifestations of anaphylactic shock and the emergency treatment measures. It’s critical to be alert to the occurrence of allergic reactions during the perioperative period after use of flurbiprofen. For patients under general anesthesia with most of their skin covered under sterile drapes, close attention should be paid to changes in circulatory function and respiratory parameters.
