In order to explore the phenomenon of negative transfer of dialects to college students'English pronunciation learning in Sichuan-Chongqing area, this paper first analyses the characteristics of dialects in Sichuan-Chongqing area, then expounds the specific manifestations and causes of this phenomenon, including negative transfer of vowels and consonants, and finally puts forward some teaching suggestions.
