Water ecological health and safety assessment is the core of water ecological security research, and it is a powerful tool for discovering and addressing safety hazards in the water environment. Water ecological environment protection is a systemic issue that crosses scales and regions. It not only involves the protection of the water ecosystem itself but also extends to the interaction between the entire urban area and the water environment. Therefore, achieving water ecological health and safety requires not only attention to water quantity and quality related to water resources supply and demand and water pollution caused by urbanization but also the comprehensive consideration of the stability of the ecosystem structure caused by land use activities and its ability to provide the necessary well-being benefits for human production and life stability. This plays a crucial role in maintaining regional water environment and economic and social stability in the long term.
