Rammed earth architectural sites are precious cultural heritage in China, but they are susceptible to damage from natural and human factors. Therefore, preventative protection strategies are needed to preserve and protect these sites. Comprehensive surveys and investigations, establishing a scientific protection system, raising public awareness, promoting research, and enhancing monitoring and management efforts are essential in preventing damage and loss to rammed earth architectural sites. Implementing these preventative protection strategies will contribute positively to the sustainable preservation and inheritance of these valuable cultural heritage sites.
