Digital economy is deeply integrated into all aspects of social and economic life, and has become an important engine to promote high-quality development.This paper selects the panel data of nine provinces in China's border areas from 2011 to 2022 to construct a two-way fixed effect model for analysis.The results show that the development of digital economy has significantly promoted the high-quality development of frontier economy.Innovation ability plays an intermediary role in the process of digital economic development affecting the high-quality development of frontier economy;There is a threshold effect in the promotion of digital economy to the high-quality development of frontier economy.
