Financial risk is one of the core problems in the financial market. Z Bank "Crude oil Treasure" is a financial event that has attracted wide attention. This paper aims to discuss the importance of financial risk management, the types and causes of financial risks, the basic principles and specific measures of financial risk management based on the "crude oil Treasure" event. It is found that investors should be fully aware of investment risks, and financial institutions should take effective risk management measures to cope with them. Under the framework of Basel III, banks should pay more attention to the risk characteristics of financial products and the market environment, and establish an effective risk management system.
