This paper takes the transformation and development path of resource-based areas as the research object, and explores the importance of transformation and development of resource-based regions, the role of emerging industries, the basis of environmental protection, and the key of policy system and action plan through the review and analysis of relevant literature. The results show that resource-based regions must carry out transformation and development, and emerging industries are the important direction of transformation and development, environmental protection is the foundation of transformation and development, and policy system and action plan are the key to promote transformation and development. Through in-depth discussion of these key issues, we can provide reference and guidance for the sustainable development of resource-based regions.
