Abstract

Based on stakeholder theory, information asymmetry theory, and principal-agent theory, this article takes non-financial industry listed companies in China's Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2010 to 2021 as the research object. Relying on the online investor relationship management platforms of "Interactive Easy" on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and "e-Interactive" on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, this article constructs overall investor relationship management indicators from three aspects: completion, effectiveness, and timeliness to discuss the relationship between investor relationship management and corporate green innovation. This article first explores the impact of investor relationship management on corporate green innovation, and analyzes the moderating effect of corporate visibility. Based on this, it delves into the specific manifestations, mechanisms, and economic consequences of investor relationship management's impact on corporate green innovation. The empirical results indicate that in terms of the impact effect of investor relationship management on corporate green innovation, investor relationship management can significantly promote corporate green innovation, and this impact effect is greater in companies with lower visibility.
