Integrating Task-based Teaching and Testing in College English Context

Abstract

The purpose of the current research is to improve the current traditional teaching style in college English classrooms and analyze the problems and phenomena that students exhibit in the current language teaching classrooms. Then, based on the analysis of these phenomena, the project tracked the original causes, conducted certain investigation, and created a new foreign language teaching model that integrates task-based teaching and testing based on the standard-referenced testing theory and the existing research findings.
