The article examined the impact of ageing population on the innovation in entrepreneurship based on the ethnic areas in northwest China Using provincial panel data from 2004 to 2019. The results show that The relationship between aging population and innovation in entrepreneurship presents an inverted U-shaped curve and “Human capital accumulation” and “Urban unemployment rate” are the two mediating effects of the ageing population on the entrepreneurial innovation. Thus, With the deepening ageing population, it is necessary to improve human capital investment and control unemployment to promote the collaborative innovation of regional enterprises.
