Study on the Current Situation and Countermeasures of Long-term Care for the Disabled Elderly in Guangzhou

Abstract

Guangzhou is a city with an intermediate level of population aging. With the gradual deepening of population aging, the number of disabled elders is increasing year by year, and the demand for long-term care is also increasing. Meanwhile, Guangzhou has entered the second phase of the pilot implementation of long-term care insurance system. This paper studies the current situation of long-term care for the disabled elders in Guangzhou, aiming to further explore the path of sustainable development of long-term care in Guangzhou and analyze the existing problems to bring inspiration and reference for the development and improvement of long-term care in Guangzhou and even in China.
