An Analysis of the Image of Germany in People's Daily Online

Abstract

As a key national news website, People's Daily Online plays an important role in shaping and spreading the image of foreign countries. As a country with which China has established an all-round strategic partnership, Germany frequently appears in the reports of People's Daily Online. This paper uses content analysis and case study to analyse the reports on Germany's politics and economy in the second half of 2021 on People's Daily Online, summarize the political and economic images reflected, and analyse the characteristics of the images and the reasons for their formation.
