Abstract

Calcaneal fracture is the most common tarsal fracture of the foot, which is mostly caused by violence. At present, the most popular classification methods are Sanders classification and Exes-Lopsti classification. Sanders classification is often used to judge the treatment and prognosis of calcaneal fractures. The earliest widely accepted classification is Exes-Lopsti classification. For different types of calcaneal fractures, we can choose a variety of treatment methods, such as non-operative treatment, open reduction and internal fixation, round needle reduction and stabilization and so on. Clinically, the appropriate treatment should be selected according to the degree of injury, classification and physical condition of the patients.
