Abstract

Based on the classification of farmers' income level, this paper empirically analyzes the impact mechanism of Internet technology on demand-based credit constraints of farmers with different income by using probit and multivariate ordered logit model. The study found that Internet technology alleviates farmers' demand-based credit constraints by alleviating farmers' transaction cost constraints, information bias constraints, cognitive bias constraints and credit risk constraints. Among them, Internet technology plays a more significant role in alleviating transaction cost constraints for middle-income farmers, cognitive bias constraints for low-income farmers, and information bias constraints and credit risk constraints for farmers with different income levels.
