Lei Xiaoqin's Experience in Treating Retinal Vein Occlusion and Macular Edema from the Blood Heat Stasis Theory

Abstract

Macular edema is one of the common complications of retinal vein occlusion and the main reason for vision loss in patients. Professor Lei Xiaoqin focused on blood heat stasis, who believed that the main pathogenesis of RVO-ME is blood-heat bleeding and vein stasis. Treatment should follow the methods of cooling blood and hemostasis, activating blood and diuretic water, clearing the collaterals and eyes, and the clinical effect is significant.
