Purpose: Constipation is one of the most common complications of stroke. Acupuncture has a good clinical effect.By searching Chinese databases such as CNKI, Weipu and Wanfang, the search terms were "acupuncture", "stroke", "constipation" and "defecation disorders", and summarized the clinical research progress of acupuncture in the treatment of constipation after stroke from four aspects: proximal point selection, distant acupoint selection, dialectical acupoint selection and symptomatic point selection, and provided some new ideas for the clinical treatment of constipation after stroke.
