Abstract

Diversion tunnel is a common project in hydropower construction, in which cracks on concrete lining are common. Often accompanied by the water seepage, the cracks seriously damage the safety of the concrete structure and directly affect the service life of the tunnel. Dealing with the cracks is time-consuming and labor-intensive, so it increases the cost of investment and affects the construction period. Taking the 25 diversion tunnel of the construction of the Yellow River Diversion Project in the central part of Shanxi Province as an example, the cause of the cracks is analyzed based on the construction experience, and the corresponding treatment methods are proposed, which are of great significance to the quality of the project.
