In vocational education and management, counselors play a crucial role. Besides engaging in ideological and political education for students, they are also responsible for managing students' lives and studies, ensuring their holistic development and helping them form correct values. In the new situation, vocational college counselors need to adhere to the management philosophy of cultivating students' moral character and prioritizing their needs, using various management methods to carry out student management work. This article analyzes the characteristics of students in vocational colleges under the new situation and the significance of conducting student management work. It also discusses the problems existing in vocational college management and proposes some solutions.
