In the era of intelligent publishing with deep media integration, local university journals are facing great changes in information dissemination methods and double pressures brought by the evaluation mechanism of core journals. How to realize innovation and development in the predicament has become an urgent problem to be solved in local university journals. On the basis of supply-side reform and scientific econometric analysis, this paper puts forward to strengthen the core competitiveness of local university journals from the aspects of orientation, development goal, content construction, editors' quality, reform of communication mode and utilization of external audit expert resources.
