Abstract

Green finance is an important measure to promote sustainable economic development under the goal of "double-carbon". Green finance has also had a significant impact on air quality as it suppresses carbon emissions. This paper based on empirical research that green finance has effectively improved air quality, and path inspection finds that green finance has mainly improved air quality by promoting green innovation. The analysis of regional heterogeneity shows that compared with the eastern region, green finance has a more obvious impact on air quality in the central and western regions.
