Abstract

The English listening test for the college entrance examination not only tests the mastery of basic phonetic knowledge, but also tests the ability of candidates to apply listening strategies. This article attempts to discuss the relationship between the mastery of phonetic knowledge and the application of listening strategies in the process of high school English listening acquisition. It is believed that in high school English listening teaching, it is necessary to consciously avoid the negative aspects of the relationship between the two and focus on the positive aspects that are conducive to the development of students’ listening acquisition.
