This paper conducts in-depth exploration and research on the splendid culture resources, current status of ideological and political education in university courses, integration paths and strategies in six prefecture level cities in Liaoning Province (Shenyang, Dalian, Anshan, Fushun, Benxi, and Dandong). Firstly, the rich splendid culture resources in six regions of Liaoning were analyzed, including revolutionary historical sites, splendid culture venues, etc. Then, the necessity and practical significance of integrating splendid culture in ideological and political education courses in universities were discussed. Subsequently, specific paths and strategies for integrating splendid culture into ideological and political education in university courses were proposed, including the integration and exploration of splendid culture resources, curriculum design and content design, teaching methods and means, and other aspects. At the end of the paper, it is pointed out that only by fully tapping into splendid culture resources, adjusting curriculum settings, and innovating teaching methods can the effective integration of splendid culture in ideological and political education in university courses be achieved, providing strong support for cultivating socialist builders and successors with comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor.
