Abstract

This paper explores the practice and reflection on cultivating innovation ability in college English education. Firstly, the article introduces the role of college English education and the challenges it faces, emphasizing the crucial role of teachers in students' academic and professional development. Subsequently, the paper discusses the importance of innovation ability in English learning, highlighting the significance of innovative thinking for students' comprehensive development. Furthermore, the article explores teaching strategies for cultivating innovation ability, including methods to stimulate innovative thinking, promoting interdisciplinary education, and utilizing practical cases and inspirational materials. Finally, the paper discusses the roles and training of teachers, as well as the collaboration and interaction between teachers and students. Through these discussions, this paper aims to emphasize the importance of innovation ability in college English education and provides guidance for practice and reflection to help educators better cultivate students' innovative thinking and practical abilities.
