The Research on ESG Network Communication in the EU under the Actor Network View

Abstract

With the deepening of sustainable development and ESG (Environment, Society, and Governance) theory, conducting ESG communication is of great significance to national enterprises and other transmission subjects to enhance their self-reputation and international competitiveness. This paper takes the actor-network theory as the theoretical perspective by means of case analysis method to conduct a further investigation of the ESG communication network in the European Union (EU), a pioneering region. The aim is to clarify how the ESG communication actors in the EU connect with other actors through ESG communication standardization and strategies, understand the network architecture and mechanisms of ESG communication in the EU, and provide a reference and inspiration for China.
