With the rapid development of information technology, the application of multimedia-assisted teaching in education has become increasingly widespread, especially showing great potential in college English listening teaching. This study aims to explore the application and effectiveness of the multimedia-assisted teaching model in college English listening classes. Through literature review, teaching experiments, and data analysis, this paper finds that multimedia-assisted teaching can significantly enhance students' listening comprehension skills and improve teaching outcomes. The results show that multimedia technology not only stimulates students' interest in learning but also provides more rich and diverse learning resources, thereby effectively promoting the development of English listening teaching.
