“Art of midwifery” was a teaching method originally developed by Socrates, who believed that there was truth in every soul, but it could not be revealed because the body was obstructed. Therefore, by talking with the interlocutor during the question-and-answer process, he constantly reveals the contradictions in the conversation of the other party, so that the interlocutor gradually rises from individual perceptual knowledge to universal rational knowledge, and goes further step by step until helping the other party to get the truth. “Art of midwifery” is not only an educational thought, but also a teaching method. It not only has an enlightening influence on the study and growth of contemporary college students, but also has an important enlightening significance on contemporary college education.
