Ideal and faith is the "master switch", is the direction, strength and support. As the ideological and political work team of the Party, college counselors are the backbone of the student work in colleges and universities, and shoulder the important mission of "cultivating people by virtue". Firm ideals and beliefs play a very important role in the problems encountered on the growth of college students in the new era and the society in the future. Therefore, starting from the overall situation of the development of the party and the country, it is urgent to strengthen the ideal and faith education of college counselors and improve the overall quality of the counselors. This paper will analyze the current situation of the ideal faith education, explore the strategies and methods of the ideal faith education in the new era, so as to enhance the effectiveness of the ideal faith education of college counselors.
