Abstract

Huizhou woodcarving, as one of the top ten folk woodcarving, has a unique historical development process and aesthetic implication, so it has been concerned by academic circles. In the previous research on Huizhou woodcarving, more attention was paid to its woodcarving art itself and carving art characteristics, but its most important cultural core was ignored. Therefore, the author takes a different approach to explore its historical evolution process and inherent aesthetic implication, and further analyzes the triple schema of painting art in Huizhou woodcarving, in order to benefit the development of Huizhou woodcarving and the protection of regional folk culture.
