Character communication is one of the common applied styles of news works. It reports on newsworthy characters, describes and tells their thoughts and deeds, and reproduces their feelings and ideological realm, so as to demonstrate the positive energy of society and convey the spirit of the times. Excellent character communication is not only pursued by journalists, but also required by the times. This article analyzes and compares the commonality and characteristics of the award-winning works from the aspects of theme, conception, composition, and value construction through the analysis of the 32nd China News Awards, and summarizes the way of excellent character communication writing.
