The Children's picture books are an important tool for children's education. Illustrations of children's picture books play an important role in improving children's cognitive ability, discrimination awareness and Intellectual thinking. Based on this, this paper analyzes the creation of illustrations of children's picture books. This paper puts forward the importance of role creation, color application, scene design and application of traditional Chinese culture in children's picture book illustration to children's physical and mental development, in order to improve the quality of children's picture book illustration, to meet the needs of children's growth.
