Abstract

This paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system for China's marine fisheries from three dimensions: economic benefits, production efficiency, and carbon sequestration effectiveness. The entropy method and comprehensive evaluation model are used to calculate the comprehensive evaluation index of marine fisheries in various coastal provinces from 2006 to 2020, and an analysis is carried out. The results show that: (1) From 2006 to 2020, the comprehensive evaluation index of China's marine fisheries showed a trend of first declining and then rising, with the fastest growth from 2012 to 2016. (2) The comprehensive evaluation indices of marine fisheries in Fujian, Guangdong, and Shandong are higher than the national average, indicating a strong basis and development level for the marine fisheries industry. (3)There is a certain gap and polarization phenomenon in the comprehensive evaluation index of marine fisheries among provinces. It is necessary to strengthen coordinated development and sustainable development.
