This paper studies the sequence stratigraphy and paleogeographic reconstruction of the Middle Jurassic Shimengou Formation in Yuqia area. Through the analysis of sequence stratigraphy, the sequence characteristics and paleogeographic environment of the formation are determined. The Shimengou Formation is divided into three system tracts, low system tract, lake transgressive system tract and high system tract. The structure of this area should be affected by northeastward compression and fault activity. These research results are of great significance to oil and gas exploration and resource development in this area.
