Abstract

This paper is based on the source text of An Assessment Report on Joint Commissioning and Test of the HN Urban Rail Transit Equipment System (excerpt) ( hereinafter referred to as Rail Transit Report), which is a C-E translation project the translator participated in. Reiss’ text typology theory serves as guideline in this paper. By understanding of text type translation theory and taking examples from lexical and syntactic aspects, some translation methods and experiences are summarized to achieve the main purpose of information transmission.
