Study on Sheepskin raft

Abstract

Since ancient times, Lanzhou has three treasures of local characteristics. As the saying goes, “auspicious gourd and beef noodles, and sheepskin raft like warship.” Not only the sheepskin raft is the wisdom crystallization of ancient people who face the natural danger of the Yellow River, but also reflects the spirit of fighting waves of people of all ethnic minorities who dare to challenge the nature. With the development of economy and technology, advanced freighters have replaced sheepskin rafts as means of transport. However, people gradually pay attention to the intangible cultural heritage identity of sheepskin rafts. So, how does the sheepskin raft reflect the past of history? In this paper, literature research and comparative analysis to discuss the sheepskin rate of the development of history and the process of production.
