China-ASEAN relations have become the most successful and dynamic model of regional cooperation in the Asia-Pacific. It has four historical experiences, namely mutual respect, win-win cooperation, mutual assistance, and inclusiveness and mutual learning. It has become a vivid example of promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Against the backdrop of profound changes unseen in the world in a century, the two sides will enhance closer partnerships of strategic mutual trust, economic and trade, connectivity and sustainable development, and build seven partnerships, including innovation and digital, people-to-people exchanges and multilateralism. How Chinese group organizations build non-governmental diplomacy to ASEAN, and how to rely on group organizations to achieve the joint participation of the whole society and all fields are powerful supplements to diplomacy with characteristics of a major country, and it is also a foreign affairs working mechanism for ASEAN in the diplomatic strategy with characteristics of a major country make evidence-based decision-making.
