Based on the analysis of the changes, development and challenges of rural public space under the background of rural revitalization, the reconstruction of rural public space is carried out from three aspects: value system, function and layout. The reconstruction of the value system should protect the rights and subjectivity of villagers, reconstruct the political, social and cultural values of rural public space, and emphasize the fair resource concept and planning and design values of rural public space. Functional reconstruction takes the transformation of traditional endogenous public space and the construction of new endogenous public space as the main content. On the basis of optimizing the structure of rural public space system, layout reconstruction strengthens the leading role of rural traditional endogenous public space in the structure of rural public space system.
