This study explores the evaluation of the application of multimedia technology in digital museums from multiple perspectives. Modern information technology and multimedia technology, as the core means of display and interaction in digital museums, play an important role in enhancing the visitor experience and disseminating cultural values. At the same time, digital museums also use advanced educational technology to achieve digital display, virtual reality, and interactive experience functions. Overall, the convergence of digital museums and educational technologies opens up new avenues and opportunities for cultural diffusion and teaching. They work together to support museum innovation and development while also providing audiences with richer and deeper learning experiences. This study explores the forms and effects of multimedia technologies in digital museums through case studies, focusing on evaluating the effects of their application in the presentation of exhibition content, interactive experiences, and educational teaching. It is found that multimedia technology in digital museums can enrich the exhibition content, enhance visitors' interactive participation, and improve the effect of education and teaching. However, there are some problems in the application process that need to be further improved and optimized. Comprehensively analyzing the results, this paper puts forward suggestions to improve the application effect of multimedia technology with a view to providing a reference for the development and innovation of digital museums.
