Abstract

Functionalism is a new theory based on teleology, which focuses on text translation and emphasizes the purposefulness and systematicity of translation. This paper discusses the importance of English translation of Red tourism from the perspective of functionalism, and based on this, puts forward the standardization strategy of English translation of Red tourism from the perspective of functionalism, which includes establishing a standard system of translation of Red tourism scenic spots, increasing the importance of translation team construction, strengthening the monitoring and review of the quality of translation of Red tourism scenic spots, and strengthening the publicity of foreign tourists in scenic spots. I hope it can effectively improve the level of English translation of Red tourism and promote the spread of red culture in China.
