In TV programs, hosts often follow the principles of cooperation and politeness, using two major direct face strategies of address and feedback speech and three major indirect face strategies of verbal interruption, verbal humor, and verbal exaggeration to "save the day" and maintain the face of the guests, viewers and themselves, so that the speaker and the addressee can talk to each other in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
